Privacy policy & program disclosures

How we protect your information, and what our programs do and don’t do.

Last updated September 2026.

Information we collect

When you use our website forms, we collect the information you choose to give us, such as your name, email address, phone number, ZIP code, program interest and message. When you enroll in a program, you share additional information through our secure Client Portal so we can provide education, counseling, referrals and follow-up.

How we use it

  • To respond to you and enroll you in programs
  • To provide education, counseling, action planning, referrals and follow-up
  • To measure program results, reported only in aggregate without personally identifiable information
  • To send updates you’ve subscribed to (you can unsubscribe anytime)

How we protect it

We collect only the information we need, limit access to staff who serve you, and store client records securely. Sensitive information and documents should only be shared through the Client Portal, never by email or website forms. We do not sell your information.

Sharing

We share your information with partners only with your consent (for example, when you ask to be referred to a lender or other resource), or when required by law.

Young people

For Future Homeowners of America, we collect contact information from parents or guardians and keep information about students to a minimum.

Website analytics & spam protection

We use Cloudflare to protect our site and forms from spam and abuse. Cloudflare may process technical information such as your IP address for this purpose.

Program disclosures

  • The Genus Foundation provides educational programs and counseling services. All programs are free to participants.
  • We are not a lender, mortgage broker, real estate broker, law firm or credit repair organization, and we are not currently a HUD-approved housing counseling agency.
  • We do not guarantee any credit score increase, removal of accurate information, debt settlement, mortgage approval, down payment assistance, interest rate, home purchase or other financial outcome. Only a lender can determine eligibility for a loan.
  • Our education is general in nature and is not individualized legal, tax or investment advice. When you need that kind of help, we refer you to qualified professionals.
  • Partners and volunteers disclose financial interests and referral relationships. You are never required to use a sponsor’s products or services.
